BUDO at the Małachowskiego Square
What a busy autumn at BRDA! This time, we cleaned out a vast office space at the Małachowskiego Square in Warsaw, as part of yet another project carried out together with White Star Real Estate (WSRE). And we did as we always do – effectively minimizing the carbon footpring of managing commercial real estate and supporting those, who need material support the most.
We are especially glad that we could put our efforts towards bringing material aid to Poles affected by the flood in Kłodzko, Przyłęk and Żelazno, bringing furniture to schools, kindergardens and individual families. We will continue helping out flooded regions during future projects (we are currently preparing for a laaaarge demolition in January 2025!). Furthermore, a vast part of desks and chairs went to the hospital in Otwock, bringing quality interior elements to doctors, nurses and students. Finally, we supported a local social service center, a children’s therapeutic office, Ukrainian school in Poznan and several local NGOs. We can do this all year long, dear friends.
And now for some numbers. Together we found 14 recipients for 416 furnishings of an estimated value of 553 000 PLN. As for the weight – we moved out about 7905 kilograms of office furniture. That’s almost 8 tons of quality stuff that we saved from the landfill and that landed in good hands. This is real ESG, a unique environmental-friendly and socially enganged practice that balances out the costs of utlizing waste. What’s not to like?
A huge thanks to our volunteers and partners at White Star Real Estate (WSRE) for yet another successful collaboration (not the first, and not the last!). We are confident that our project can be fundamental for the circular economy in the real estate sector. See you soon at your office!
