As part of OBIEG (primarily also BUDO) we redistribute tons of materials and furnishings. Literally tons. And lots of them. Here are our basic numbers which show the scale in which we can incorporate circular economy in architecture and the building sector. It’s really worth it – numbers never lie!
The weight and value of objects saved from the landfill are estimated based on average weight and price of new and used objects found online. With each inventory process, we try to find the name or serial numer of specific models of furniture and materials so that we can later find them on the market and assess the price and weight as accurately as possible. That kind of data is not always available to us – hence the estimates.
With every pick up of our objects, NGOs and other institutions are meticulously counted, along with the number of objects redistributed. We cound every table, lamp and chair! Those numbers are accurate and are a palpable proof of a job well done.
