Workshop with painter Kaja Redkie in Wisła
Spring is in full swing, so there is no better time to travel around Poland. Last weekend, Maria Świerżewska from the ING Polish Art Foundation and painter Kaja Redkie visited Wisła, where Kaja held workshops for children from the Ukrainian children’s home in Zaporizhzhia. Kids are currently living in Wisła, under the care of the ING for Children Foundation.
Kaja uses various techniques, tools and materials in her art, which evoke imaginative practices – including paper marbling. Those cosmic little works of art, just like during the workshop at the refugee center in Warsaw, were created by the ING for Children Foundation’s young lodgers.
Children spent several hours making their own papers in mass quantities. In effect, everyone could take a framed picture with themselves and hang it in their room. What an awesome, energetic way to spend the day together <3
A warm thanks to the team at the ING for Children Foundation and the ING Polish Art Foundation for enabling the organization of our workshops. You will find more photos on our Instagram profile (@fundacjabrda).
