Windows for Ukraine – join the Polish pavilion at London Design Biennale
Windows in Ukraine, destroyed during air raids, disable citizens from staying in their houses. They are an indispensible element of a safe, dignified home. Therefore, at the center of the Polish pavilion during this year’s London Design Biennale, you will find the aforementioned reused windows – an installation inspired by our project WINDOW, during which volunteers gathered already nearly thousand windows all around the country, and sent them to the District #1 Foundation in Kyiv. All those windows already found a new home in Ukraine. We wish to continue to support reconstruction efforts, including London-based businesses and Londoners in the action!
That is why we are asking you for help and your generous donation in a very simple form – a window.
Windows that were exchanged during the renovation of your home or apartment. Windows you might have displayed in your showrooms, those returned by clients, any single piece you might find impossible to sell or use again – those are the kinds of donations we are looking for, which allow you to join our support efforts in a cost-efficient and sustainable way.
We will be collecting them until May 10th.
You will find all the necessary information about what windows are being collected, the London storage unit and how to donate on www.fundacjabrda.org/en/projekty/windows-for-ukraine. The support of British citizens and British business in our efforts will be absolutely crucial and very much appreciated! If you wish to join us or if you have any questions, reach out to us at any time.
